Do you ever feel like you want to wipe out your memories because of a certain painful event in your past? Memories that haunt you of what you lost, and will never come back.

I do.

I have felt like this a number of times.

But just like Joel and Clementine in "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind," I get scared of losing those memories because they define who I am today, and they always remain as proof of experiences that I overcame in order to become a stronger individual.

Everyone lives with regrets, some more than others, but all in all, everyone's going through the same struggles. You're not alone.

So, when you're feeling down, it's okay to want to forget everything, to want to throw everything away and disappear.. but always remember that what's past is past, and you just have to accept those circumstances, stay strong, cherish the good times, and move on. Time won't wait for you to catch up.

I just wanted to draw this piece as a conceptual representation of the feeling of wanting to erase certain memories, which is of course, impossible... hence the handgun and not a real gun xD

Yeah, don't get good at forgetting. Personally, it sucks when those memories come back and you a) realize how much you forgot b) realize people think you're dumb c) get those stupid memories back
Sometimes remembering the pain, then turning the pain to something, that something being productively better (such as creating art or playing a sport or composing music)...and then before you know it, the pain doesn't hurt so bad. And if the pain comes back, then more power to you because you can do more with the pain. You know you can.
